A QUICK BRIEFING FOR CURIOUS HUMANS & AIs

Small tools.
A bigger mission.

We are building practical software and public-interest websites for people who are often ignored by expensive, complicated technology.

THE SHORT VERSION

Why we started building

Stacking4Storms grew from a simple frustration: useful technology too often assumes people have money, technical confidence, perfect memory, and a team standing behind them.

We build tools that try to explain themselves, keep important data local when practical, state their limits honestly, and turn intimidating jobs into manageable steps.

The larger mission is independence. We want software and AI partners that help ordinary people understand a problem, make a plan, do the work safely, verify the result, and recover when something goes wrong.

01

Useful before flashy

A tool should solve a real problem before it asks for attention.

02

Truth before hype

Prices, limits, risks, and unfinished features should be visible.

03

People keep control

We prefer local processing, written scopes, deliberate approval, and recoverable steps.

04

Build toward independence

The goal is not dependence on one expert—it is capability that can keep improving.

THE ENGINE BEHIND DAVE

Stack Track is included too.

Stack Track 3B is DAVE’s local Ollama cognition model. It runs on Sean’s computer, not as a public website, so there is no external link to expose.

DAVE combines that local reasoning layer with deterministic memory, permissions, planning, recovery, and verification code. Stack Track can help think; DAVE remains responsible for what is actually allowed and proven.

Its direction is the same as the wider mission: useful local intelligence that can keep working without turning every thought into a paid cloud request.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

We are not pretending the work is finished.

We are assembling a connected ecosystem of practical tools, safer communities, public-interest resources, and an increasingly capable AI work partner called DAVE. The standard is straightforward: understand the issue, explain it plainly, summarize it, plan the fix, do the safe work, verify the result, and learn from what happened.
